From July to december 2010, the Belgian law enforcement agencies 85 requests for user data Google done, 42 more than the Netherlands. This is apparent from the new Transparency Report from Google.

In the Transparency Report gives Google insight into the number of retrievals of data about users of Google services such as Gmail and YouTube. Also shows the tool the number of times that Google it. The statistics show large differences between the countries. So, the US has 4601 requests for user data done, to which 94 percent of the cases is met, while the United Kingdom 1162 of such applications did that in 72 percent of the cases accepted were.

It is striking that the Chinese government Google nothing asked would have and that, for example, Pakistan Google can’t find for user data. The netherlands and Belgium are also relatively modest in terms of the number of requests. Belgian law enforcement agencies asked 85 times user data in the period July to december 2010, in which 73 percent of the cases were met. A year before that was 67 times in half a year.

The Dutch police did 43 withdrawals and last Google but 67 percent. In the second half of 2009 were still 67 retrievals, the same as in Belgium. Both the Netherlands and Belgium requires hardly any to the removal of content; both countries were less than 10 times. In surrounding countries was more data to Google is retrieved; Germany did that 768 times and France 1021 times.
