Problems with Android phones appear to be most often related to the hardware. This is evident from an analysis of repair company WDS. At BlackBerry’s have the problems reported least often to do with the hardware of the device.

In 14 percent of the cases where a problem with an Android phone it was reported it turned out to be a problem with the hardware, reports PCMag. The analysis is done with 600,000 notifications for almost a year. The reports came from various parts of the world. WDS blames the high percentage of defects with Android hardware to the diversity of devices, so quality of hardware is no longer the highest priority.

On Windows Phone 7 devices is 9 percent of the issues related to the hardware in iPhones is that 8 per cent. Issues with the hardware it came with BlackBerry’s are relatively the least for: in 3.7 percent of cases.

WDS does not want to lose how much repairs for each platform needed to be done. It is also unclear how the relationships per brand. WDS does not want to reveal a lot about the figures and indicates that measurements are difficult due to various factors. Also missing figures from other platforms, such as Symbian and WebOS.
