Asus introduces G74Sx-gaming laptop

Asus, the G74Sx is released, a model of the fourth generation of its G-series gamingnotebooks. The laptop comes with a mobile Core i7 quadcore and a GeForce GTX 560M delivered, and memory and hdd are easy to upgrade.

Asus delivers the G74Sx Core i7-2630QM, but there will also be a cheaper variant with Core i5-2410M. 17.3″screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, but, again, is for people with a lower budget a 1600×900-pixelvariant available. Who needs 3d view, you can go for the version with 120Hz screen and full hd resolution.

The GTX 560M may have 2 or 3GB of gddr5 memory, depending on the configuration. The gamingnotebook with quadcore will get 16GB of memory, with dual-core have the with half. Asus offers several storage options, including an hdd of 750GB which is at 7200rpm rotating. Also, there is the possibility to have two hdd or an additional ssd of 160GB to build.

What optical drive is for blu-ray. There is a single usb 3.0 port is present and the battery has a capacity of 74Wh. Asus has compared the previous version some minor changes, such as the louvers on the back. The fans for the cpu and gpu operate independently of each other. At the bottom is now a panel to open, so that users get access to memory and hdd, to upgrade.

Asus Netherlands could not yet say when the models actually are for sale and what they cost, but rather it was a matter of a price that is comparable with that of the current G73, which for the versions with the 3d-screen will probably be 300 or 400 euros more should be paid for.
