AnonymousIRC publishes accounts dating site Pepper.nl

Hackers who AnonymousIRC call, have the login details of Pepper.nl published. The site, owned by RTL, would now its customers have been informed, while the Public Ministry the hackersaanval investigating.

AnonymousIRC has Sunday morning the personal data of more than 53.000 users of the dating site Pepper.nl published, as the group has announced. Although the passwords are hashed, the e-mail addresses and user names in plain text to read. Also, it’s not inconceivable that the passwords are still unencrypted and can be, for example, by using rainbow tables.

The administrators of the dating site, part of the RTL group, have to Webwereld let them know that they their customers via an e-mail, have informed. At the time of writing is Pepper.nl unreachable.

How the hackers have the data and can steal, is simply not yet known. Also, it is still unclear when the hackers have struck. Would further the Public Ministry for an investigation are launched into the attack.
