American teenager improves world record to solve Rubik’s cube

The American teenager Collin Burns has Saturday a rubik’s cube in the 5.25 seconds fixed. He is the new world record holder. The previous record, 5,55 seconds, has stood since 2013 in the name of the Dutchman Mats Valk.

Burns improved the world record for it as soon as possible to solve a standard 3×3-rubik’s cube. He did that during the last round of the Doylestown Spring 2015 event, held at the Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, a town north of Philadelphia. He was next participant is also a co-organiser.

The competition was an official event of the World Cube Association. The association organizes the world rubik’s cube competitions, and ensures that the rules are complied with. So is there an established procedure for the pre-scramblen of the puzzle. According to the organization, all the rules are followed. Soon will be the record of Burns than also be credited in the list of official world records of the World Cube Association. At the top of the record that the Dutchman Mats Valk in 2013 settled in the Belgian Zonhoven.

Incidentally, Burns is still a good sucking to the record of the ‘Cubestormer 3’. The Legoconstructie with jaws, connected to a Samsung Galaxy S4, solved the cube at the beginning of 2014 in just 3,25 seconds.
