Sony Ericsson presents ‘sporterstelefoon’ on Android

Sony Ericsson presented on telecombeurs communicasia trade the Xperia Active. The Active is a water – proof and dust-proof Android smartphone on athletes. It is unclear whether the sporterstelefoon also comes to the Netherlands.

The Xperia Active runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, has a 3″screen with a resolution of 320×480 pixels and this seems some specifications to be shared with the also new Xperia Mini. The Xperia Active also has the vierhoekeninterface that other smaller Android smartphones from Sony Ericsson have.

The Active is dust proof and can be up to a half hour in a meter of water to be taken.
