Samsung is allegedly not enough thin touch-screen controls for its upcoming Galaxy Tab 8,9″ produce. The South Korean manufacturer would therefore also have Tabs with a thicker panel of lesser quality should rest.

According to etnews.co.kr is the problem with the thin G1F panels that Samsung for the Tab 8,9″ want to use. The company has in the production of the touch screens to contend with low yields, resulting in too few usable screens. Samsung would now be required to also touch screens of the thicker GFF-type.

This “glass fiber filter” panels are not only thirty to forty percent thicker than the G1F-versions, they leave because of the presence of an additional film even less light through. This has a negative effect on the image quality and the maximum brightness. Samsung has evasive on the rumors responded: according to the company, the specifications of the 8.9″version of the Galaxy Tab ‘not yet final’.
