I used to have in the time that I games like WoW already played a Razer Naga, so that now the ‘Classic’. The large amount of buttons and the position of this speaks to me still, hence the purchase of this new version of my trusty old mouse.

The purchase was made on 16-01-2016 and the price of 99,-

The mouse is neat, compact packaging, there is little fuss, just a standard Razer booklet with instruction manual and warranty info, and for the enthusiast there are also two ‘Chroma’ stickers.

If you hover the mouse connect works this immediately, however, only with the default settings, which in my opinion, quite clumsy. So is the ’tilt’ of the scroll wheel is not set to vertical scrolling, but here Razer functionality on set. To do this, the software must be used.

This is also one of the major drawbacks, the software should always be on, otherwise the mouse is reset to the factory settings behave, and have your settings has no effect. Now I have a Logitech mouse and am used to, I was thinking that the on-board memory in the mouse was, but that turns out not to be so. Remarkably for a mouse in this price range.

The settings in the software are, however, excellent, you can colors and macros easy to set up, but these are so, by the computer, remember, and not by the mouse itself.

After the mouse some time used to have I noticed that these very different feel than my old Razer Naga, the pink-side of the mouse running down wide, while the old Naga is correct narrower to the bottom. I thought this was also a great disadvantage, because I’m used to the mouse ‘clamps’ between my little finger and the thumb/rest of my hand. This could be by the wide tapered pink side, however, not in a nice way. Also noticed that the mouse is wider than the old model, and lighter.

After the mouse is still some time to use there were a number of irritations to the top. The sensor feels irregular. I have been in the software from Razer, and in windows itself, all acceleration turned off, but it feels like this mouse is a kind of ingebakke acceleration. Because of this I missed my target when clicking.

The thumb buttons are also changed since the old version, I had trouble with my thumb on the top buttons without my hand to move or suggested a different button to press. The thumb buttons are more right on top of each other instead of slightly angled on top of each other.

All of this adds up to is that this mouse does not meet my expectations and I am therefore somewhat disappointed. This, however, are personal things, so if you are a mouse looking for MMOS with a lot of buttons and you do not have any difficulty with constantly having Razer Synapse, then this might be the mouse for you.
