Developers have managed to use widgets built into the Notification Center of iOS 5. The widgets will need to obtain an iOS device with the new software version, however, gejailbreakt.
In the alternative marketplace for software for gejailbreakte iOS devices Cydia are widgets appeared that iOS 5 users, for example, a Facebook widget in the Notification Center. Also, there are widgets for music, settings, and system information. Apple offers two standard widgets for weather and stocks that the notifications can be shown, but there is no default option to other widgets to the Notification Center to add.
For the widgets to be able to install a jailbreak is necessary. A day after the release of iOS 5 reported a developer all the security of Apple cracked. This was the same exploit used for previous iOS versions. The jailbreak was published recently, and is suitable for the beta version of iOS 5 that Apple recently were required to developers.
