Id Software release Rage from to 7 October

Id Software has the release date of its upcoming first-person shooter Rage pushed back. The title would be original on 16 september in the shop, but will now have only three weeks later, on 7 October, come true.

A reason for the delay of the shooter give the developer id Software or publisher, Bethesda does not, but on the official website of the game is now to read that both the pc, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of Rage in Europe on October 7, will come.

The game is already a hefty time in development, and is the first major release from id Software since Doom 3 in 2004. The first pictures were through a techdemo of the id Tech 5 engine, shown in July 2007, while the official announcement in August of that year followed.

Rage takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that the player both on foot, as vehicles can explore. The virtual texturing technology of the new id Tech 5 engine should make it possible to to great outdoor spaces to be able to render without thereby sacrificing texturekwaliteit.
