“HP introduces passively cooled laptop with a thickness of 15.7 mm”

HP has the EliteBook Folio 1020 announced. This is a business laptop with a thickness of 15.7 mm and an Intel Core M processor, which is passively cooled. The laptop with 12.5″screen, comes in versions with resolutions of 1920×1080 and 2560×1440 pixels.

According to HP it is the ‘thinnest and lightest business laptop’ till now. The laptop appears in a regular version and a Special Edition: the first weighs 1.2 kg and the last will be around 1kg to come true. The housing is wedge-shaped and made of a magnesium alloy in combination with carbon fibers.

The laptop is certified according to the MIL-STD 810G standard, and should against shock, humidity, and pressure resistant. Furthermore, it supports the EliteBook, Intel’s business vPro platform, a tpm 2.0 module for storage of passwords and encryption keys.

In addition, HP reported the presence of a webcam with 720p resolution and two speakers on the front side, the view of hd audio with dts support for video conferencing. Many more details let HP still not in the laptop. The EliteBook Folio 1020 will be out in early 2015.
