A handy programmer has managed to with the help of a few accessories the ‘oershooter’ Doom get up and running on the Edison, a compact computermodule of Intel on the basis of an Atom-cpu.

Although the Edison is slightly larger than a postage stamp, has the processor on two Atom cores each at 500MHz run. Together with 1GB ram is the hardware sufficient for Doom to get it – the famous shooter can even on a printer running – but the link with a los 2.8″ tft-display, with a wireless PS4 controller and a single speaker show that the Edison has the potential to grow into a very nice and versatile knutselplatform.
